Set the rules for each house
Create custom configurations by test type and schedule. Select a fixed number or a percentage of eligible residents, with daily, weekly, or monthly intervals.
Let Oathtrack select residents
Use random selection or weighted selection that reduces the chance of selecting someone again soon. Configure a grace period for newly admitted residents when needed.
Keep testing work visible
Review pending, due, and overdue tests. When staff complete a test, record the result in the resident’s drug-test history so the next shift can find it.

How it works

Open Randomized Drug Tests on the House Dashboard or House Residents page and choose Manage Random Tests. Add a schedule, set the test type and selection rules, and save it. Staff can then review the testing queue and record completed results.

Can we choose how many residents are selected?
Yes. Choose a fixed count or percentage of eligible residents and a daily, weekly, or monthly interval. Each house can have multiple configurations.
Can new residents have a grace period?
Yes. Configure a grace period to exclude newly admitted residents from that configuration until the period has passed.
What does weighted selection do?
Weighted selection considers how long it has been since a resident was selected by that configuration. It reduces the chance of selecting someone again soon; it does not guarantee an identical number of tests for every resident.
How does the team know what needs to be done?
Staff can review pending tests and see which are due or overdue in Oathtrack. The dashboard also shows pending random-test notifications.
Where do completed results go?
Completing a queued test records it in the resident’s drug-test history and updates the randomizer’s completed-test history.
